The rising costs of fossil fuels make Biomass heat and power a realistic and economic option for all energy needs.
This increasing demand for renewable energy supplies in Europe means that biomass energy production on all scales will be required. John Amos Energy Ltd has the experience and knowledge to facilitate biomass energy projects in a variety of aspects ranging from business planning to planting crops.

In order to produce a renewable energy supply from an energy crop such as Miscanthus, baled crops are delivered to a purpose built power plant for conversion into heat and power sources of energy. The energy generated is recognised as 'green' because it has no harmful effect on the environment. The crops absorb carbon dioxide, which is released from the power plant during conversion, during the growing cycle. Due to technological advancements the emissions released to the atmosphere are minimal and regulated stringently to ensure benefits to the environment.
Biomass power plants can range from as small as 100kw to as large as 50MWe. Projects can range from on-farm boilers to schools, offices, industrial estates right up to the supply of heat and power for a town.
The fuel supply is required to be sourced locally to ensure a positive carbon balance and thus the production of carbon neutral energy is ensured. A local fuel supply benefits the surrounding rural communities by increasing employment, on-farm income, and rural economy and as a farm diversification opportunity.
