In times gone by there has been a general thought that “if it’s farming, it’s alright” – NO! That is not necessarily the case.
 
A number of high profile cases mean that the revenue are looking much more closely at both the “non agricultural” values and the relationship between the owners and occupiers. Your view of what is agricultural may not be shared by the Tax office and it’s too late after the event!
